Tucker to Injured Reserve

Cardoza Tucker, who departed his opening night start after landing wrong on a pickoff attempt, was today placed on the 7-Day Injured Reserve List...Something we did not discuss with Bill Lee while he was on last evening was the changes to injured reserve...There is now a 7-day in addition to a 14-day injured reserve...You can have one player on the 7-day (Tucker) and two on the 14-day at one time (Currently Cristobal Mata is on the 14-day)...No word yet on who will replace Tucker in the rotation but I will pass on the info when I hear...Don't be surprised if Esmelvin Jimenez, who tossed three innings in place of Tucker last night and was stretched out in spring training, takes that slot...
