Press Conference

Joe Nichols and Brother Trouble greeted the media with an afternoon press conference...Here are some photos, I will maybe post audio if it turned out...The press conference had three parts with the music first, the Boys and Girls Club second, and General Manager Ryan Gates third...

Here is the audio from the press conference...I deleted the questions because you couldn't hear them anyhow but Joe Nichols does have some very good things to say about All Pro Freight Stadium...

Future Crusher?

Eddie Tisdale, Clubhouse Manager Nate Six, and myself were able to hang with Joe Nichols and some of his band during the afternoon of the concert...Below are some photos of the escapades...Perhaps Joe Nichols could be a Crusher...

Alan Jackson Concert

Here are some pictures of the transformation of All Pro Freight Stadium to a concert venue for Alan Jackson...Check out how they moved the net up so as to not obstruct view...There will be plenty of pictures to post from the crowd tonight I hope as well as some photos of Eddie Tisdale playing a little baseball with opening act Joe Nichols...

Looks Like Champs

I thought I would post this article from the Chronicle-Telegram about the Crushers at the midway point of 2010...

And the Winner is...

Red! Fans...Wear Red to the park on Friday for a Red-Out at All Pro Freight Stadium as the Crushers welcome the Windy City ThunderBolts in the opener of the second half...The winner was chosen through a survey as part of Facebook Friday!!! In my case I won't need to wear too much red...I got fried today by the sun! And in reference to an older post my red polo got fried as well...By the iron from the Evansville hotel...

I will post a full first half report in the coming days, hopefully with a first half report card as well, but the long and short of it is taht the Crushers are in playoff position, and closed the first half winning 4 of 6 on the road...The team is batting .270 over the last five games which is an encouraging sign for the second half...

All-Star Report

The West hammered the East 9-2...East Division starter James Albury of the Oakland County Cruisers recorded only one out in the game, leaving as the West scored seven runs in the bottom of the first...Jereme Milons led off with a single and scored on a two-run homer by Tim Grogan and the West never looked back...Stephen Shults, also of Florence, homered as well in the game...Kalamazoo Manager Matt Maloney netted the lone East homer in the fifth...

Crusher Report!
Jodam Rivera batted leadoff for the East Division, played the whole game, and finished 0-for-4 with a walk...

Andrew Davis started at third and hit third, finishing 0-for-3...

While Josh Roberts did not start on the mound, he did enter in the first inning out of the bullpen...Roberts, who will start for the Crushers on Sunday against Windy City, threw longer than any other pitcher in the game...Roberts tossed 1.2 innings, allowing two hits while striking out one...

Travis Risser pitched a perfect fourth inning, following Traverse City's Kevin Reese...The perfect inning was the only perfect frame for the East Division throughout the night...

Reliever Jeff Cinadr entered in the fifth inning, recorded the final out of that frame and the first of the sixth before giving way to Washington's Kevin Hammons...He did allow a hit...
