Roster Updates

If you caught last night's broadcast you heard me mention that the Boomers released LHP Andy Weeks...That left an open slot on the pitching staff and dropped the total number of players on the roster to 22...

Today, Schaumburg added LHP Adam Tollefson...Tollefson has spent the last three years with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, winning titles in 2009 and 2010...The sixth-year pro adds a veteran lefty to the bullpen...

Also to bring the roster to 24, LHP Thomas Nelson was activated from the seven-day injured reserve list...The roster currently features 13 pitchers and 11 position players...That leaves the bench a little thin with Gerard Hall still on the shelf...Hall is improving though...

Also, Sunday's starter has yet to be determined but I am told it will be an LHP from the bullpen...There are now four lefties in the pen with the addition of Tollefson...

Remember, I also talked with the commish before the season started...Maybe if I am feeling ambitious I will also post the link to that in here as well as the audio from Tuesday.
