Catcher Joe Blackburn had his contract sold to the Phillies yesterday, marking the second consecutive Sunday that a member of the Beach Bums has been sold to affiliated baseball...I had a farewell interview with Joe that will be placed here once it has aired...He wasn't with the Beach Bums long, only a couple weeks...He's headed back to Philly today to take a physical and if all goes well then he will report to Williamsport to join the NY-Penn League...
